The differences in African Butter and Shea Butter: Both come from Africa, The African Butter grows in the low lands close to rivers, and is often called river butter. Shea Butter, on the other hand grows in highlands where it's high and dry. One of the most important differences between the two is healing fraction (bioactive). In Shea Butter the healing fraction (bioactive) can be 300 to 400 times larger than the healing fraction in river butter. African Butter is Yellow to Mustard Yellow in color. Raw Shea Butter is Ivory to Pale Yellow in color

No, Only raw unrefined shea butter used along with Natural Theraputic Essential oils and carrier oils.
